• Girltalk have a new feature called Girl-to-Girl-Talk. Carolyn explains: "On occasion we will introduce you to godly women who are making a significant difference in the lives of others both in the church and in our culture". • Lydia at the Purple Cellar has written a short series on what Peter and Paul have to say about female beauty. Read "Peter and Paul on being Pretty" part 1, 2 & 3 and A Woman's Touch. She has also commented on some of our fave verses, Titus 2:3-5 in Beauty & the Business Women and rounded up Peter and Paul's picture of a godly woman with The Beauty of Backing Down. Take a look, there are some really helpful thoughts and insights here.
  
• I was tickled by Girltalk's funnies for last week..."If Women Controlled the World".
• Dan at Pyromaniacs writes for the yoots on making dads glad and mums glum.
• Another Look at 1 Corinthians 7 at Solo Femininity is a must read for singles this week. Go the extra mile and download the sermon she recommends.
• What does it mean for a husband to lead his wife? "A husband leads by dying" is the main point of John Piper's sermon this coming weekend. Until then, check out this short video clip it'll make you want to listen to more!
• "Does God bring People Together?" A question often asked, Boundless responds.
• Tim Challies has started a superb two parter on the Extraordinary Value of Women. It's a must read as is the book he recommends. Watch out for part 2!
• For His Renown offers a few thoughts on the book, 5 Paths to the Love of Your Life: Defining Your Dating Style. For more information on the book visit the web page of Alex Chediak the editor of the book.
• Justin Taylor considers a sermon on What Biblical Submission Does and Does Not Mean.

It's Friday and it's time (already) for Womanhood Watch. However, I must apologise for the small amount of links - my family and I have moved house this past week and only just managed to join the (un)real world once again! For that reason there's not been much I've been reading or listening to online amid the many boxes I've had to unpack. However, what I've noticed I commend to you. • Two talks downloaded and ready for the ipod this weekend are from John and Noel Piper. Staying Married is not about Staying in Love part one is Pastor John's sermon of the week, and, What I Learned about being my Mother's Daughter, is a talk given by Noel in November 2006.
  
• Keziah at A Woman who Fears the Lord offers this link to an article posted by Mark Driscoll: Death By Ministry. It's aimed at pastor's and their wives, but aids all of us in how we should be praying for them. As Keziah says, it makes for some uncomfortable reading.
• Solo Femininity has had a makeover!
• Lydia at The Purple Cellar is running a poll on the role of women in ministry and marriage.
• In a similar vein, Jim Hamilton at For His Renown offers a Q & A on Paul and Jesus, Women and the Law. This makes for some interesting reading and many comments!
• Are you a young mother? It gets easier according to Rocks in My Dryer! Read this encouraging post here.

• Still with Covenant Life, The Family Room blog are posting a new series with Mark Dever on the Puritans and sex. "8 Lessons for Healthy Sex" has started with Sex is Supposed to be Limited. • Boundless were inundated with comments over Scott Croft's article last week, "Biblical Dating: To Kiss or not to Kiss." Take a peek at some of the thought provoking reaction and Scott's clarification on the issue. Motte Brown also posts on why he regrets kissing his wife.
• Do your kids read books? Al Mohler discusses how reading is "an important Christian discipline. It is why the Christian church has championed the cause of literacy. It is why the Reformers fought for the translation of the Scriptures into vernacular languages. A loss of literacy and respect for the book amounts to grave danger for the Christian church." • Tim Challies takes us out of our comfort zone and discusses self-centred sex. Read parts one and two.

• Over at Ladies Against Feminism their "Newest Headlines" include a fantastic article by Albert Mohler entitled: A Call for Courage on Biblical Manhood & Womanhood and a referral to Visionary Daughters' excellent Top 10 Resolutions for Christian Women.
• If you want to know how to keep those New Year Resolutions, the Girltalkers offer some advice on how to do it. Click here, here and here.
• Carolyn McCulley asks a question in her New Year series: Be married or be a wife? There is also a Q&A with a married woman particularly focussing on the transition from being single to married life.
• This week over at the Family Room check out their posts on First Things First and consider what it practically looks like to make God first in all we do - in our time, our marriages, and in our parenting.
• Andreas Kostenberger, of "God, marriage and family" fame, plans to make a 12 part seminar series based on the book available on the web. Read the details here.
  
• For all you romantics, read John Piper's letter to Noel on her birthday, then, if you're married, let your husband read it :)
